Questions and answers
What is draft2cut?
A production platform that takes a screenplay to an edited video, with characters, storyboards, voices, music and delivery documents, in one project.
Can it produce a finished video?
Yes: it assembles an edited video with dialogue, music and subtitles. The quality of the shots depends on the AI engines you choose, and you can export a timeline to finish in an editing suite.
Who is it for?
Independent producers, small series teams, animation and visual-development studios, agencies, training teams, writers and schools.
Is it available now?
draft2cut is in beta. Request access with the form.
Does it label AI content?
Exported video carries a visible AI label by default, with machine-readable metadata, and every generation is recorded.
How does it handle real people's faces and voices?
Each character is declared fictional or real; a real person requires a recorded release and the biometric notice.
Does it help with the rules on AI content?
It gives you records and controls that most rules ask for. It does not replace legal advice and cannot make a project compliant by itself.
Can I use my own accounts with the AI providers?
Yes.
Can some of it run on my own machines?
Yes: some engines for text, images, upscaling and voice can.
What can I export?
A series bible, character, environment and prop bibles, a storyboard PDF, subtitles, the screenplay, an edited video, an XMEML timeline, the rights dossier and a project archive.
Which languages?
Content can be generated in 25 languages.
