From script to a finished video

draft2cut (draft to cut) is the AI production platform that takes a script to a finished video for film, series and branded content. It builds the whole project in one place, assembles the edited video, and keeps the records that AI content now needs.

One project, from the first line to the final cut

Write or import your script. draft2cut breaks it down into characters, locations, scenes and shots, designs the cast, storyboards each scene, generates dialogue, music and video, and assembles the result. You decide at every step.

  1. An elderly woman writing a screenplay at a desk under a lamp.

    Script

From an idea or an existing screenplay.

  2. A woman pinning coloured tags on a wall of index cards.

    Breakdown

    Characters, locations, scenes and shots.

  3. A young woman drawing a character turnaround sheet at a drawing table.

    Characters

    Turnarounds, outfits, expressions and voices.

  4. A small round robot pinning storyboard frames on a board.

    Storyboard

    A frame for every shot.

  5. A young man in headphones recording dialogue at a microphone.

    Voices and music

Dialogue line by line, and a score.

  6. A bearded man assembling the finished video on an editing timeline.

    Finished video

    An edited video with subtitles.

The same characters in every shot

Each character has a reference, a turnaround, outfits, expressions and a voice. Every shot uses the cast chosen for that scene, so the story keeps its people.

Mira laughing as she strides through a workshop in orange overalls.
Mira crouching, worried, to inspect a machine in a work jacket.
Mira calm and focused at a console in a grey technician uniform.
Mira surprised in pyjamas in a bunk cabin.
Mira running along a corridor in a light flight jacket.
Mira thoughtful, leaning on a railing in front of a window onto space.

Drafts when you need them, a finished video when you are ready

Show a client a storyboard and a preview on Monday. Deliver an edited video with dialogue, music and subtitles when the work is done. Take it into your editing suite with a timeline file if you want to finish it there.

Three characters shown three times in a row: a pencil draft, a step where the sketch fades into the render, and the finished production-ready 3D version.

Everything you hand over

An XMEML file for Final Cut Pro and Premiere.

Rights and AI rules, built in

Exported video carries a visible AI label. Every generation is recorded, and a rights dossier lists the models used and their providers' terms. Real people are declared and their releases recorded. You keep control of your data. draft2cut helps you document and label; it does not replace legal advice.

You choose the engines

Use different AI engines for text, images, voice, music and video, bring your own provider accounts, or run some engines on your own machines.

Cloud engines

Choose the engine for each job and change it per project.

Your own accounts

Bring your own provider accounts: the contract and the data stay with you.

On your machines

Some engines run locally, send nothing out and add no cost per generation.
