Heidolon is adapted from Alberto Geneletti's novel of the same name: the story of Mira Solari, a seventeen-year-old apprentice mechanic aboard the Luminous Ark, and of Pico, the old copper robot who is her best friend. The novel is now becoming a feature film, in production with draft2cut.

The hardest problem in AI filmmaking is not generating a beautiful shot: it is keeping the same characters from one shot to the next. Faces change, costumes drift, proportions shift, and continuity has to be fixed by hand, clip after clip.

Heidolon is made in draft2cut, and that is what keeps its characters consistent. Every character has its own reference pack (turnaround, expressions, outfits), and draft2cut uses that same pack in every shot of the production, whatever video engine generates it. Mira and Pico stay recognisably themselves across the whole film, not just within a single clip.

draft2cut is the production pipeline for AI video: from screenplay to storyboard, voices, music, video and an edit-ready cut, with the rights paperwork built in.
