How an AI screenwriter reads your brief
Episode 5 of 7 of our podcast on story structure and AI screenwriting.
On draft2cut's Script page the brief is six dropdowns: format, audience, genre, historical period, theme and template. The AI Screenwriter reads them together, as one set of instructions. When two of them pull apart, such as horror for small children, the model softens one: that is how language models behave, not a feature, so choose options that agree, or say in the synopsis how to resolve the tension.
The Idea step uses five of the dropdowns, all but the template, because an idea comes before its structure. The synopsis is written or edited by the writer. The Story and Script steps use all six, template included.
