Do you have to disclose AI use?
Episode 11 of 14 of our podcast on copyright and AI.
0:00 / 1:35
The transparency rules of the EU AI Act apply from August 2026 and split the duty: the providers of the models mark their output in a machine-readable way, and whoever publishes a deepfake, or AI text on matters of public interest, must disclose it to the audience.
Platforms add their own rules: Amazon KDP asks authors to declare content generated by AI, but not content they only wrote with its help. China and South Korea require visible labels and metadata in the file.
